Christmas Gift

Okay, here is a coaster set that I was asked to make for a Christmas Gift. I would love to hear what you think! The design and name on the box was done by hand. My husband thinks the name might be too much...

Here is what I started with, and the end result...

LJ's 3rd Birthday Party Invitations

A few random cards...

Here is a card that I created for John's Graduation party...

This is a free-project card that we made at one of the Home Gatherings.

This card was made by Kay Baker (cousin) for John's graduation.

This card was made by Heather Ollanketo (sister-in-law) for John's birthday.

Something I want to do more of...

Here's a little something I did for LJ's room and I really liked how it turned out. I would like to eventually make more and in different themes. I'll post them when I do. If anyone is interested in one, just let me know. I would be happy to make one for you!

Here it is laying on 12x12 piece of paper to give you an idea of the size.

Embellishments

I opened some of the embellishments that I bought for the new card club and I had to share some pic's. I am so excited! As soon as I get the rest in I'll create the cards and post them. We'll be starting the club in January, and there are still spots open so reserve your place now! It will be open for 10 ladies to join. I can't wait!

LJ's Boo-boo

I've been thinking a lot recently about taking a career path in papercrafting, but am not sure how to do so or what exactly I have to offer. So I spent some time tonight browsing through a ton of crafty blogs and after seeing so many extremely talented people I started to feel like a very small fish in the big creativity pond.
As I was pondering my own creative destiny and feeling a little bleak, my little boy LJ had hurt his thumb and the only thing that would fix it was a kiss from me. It's amazing how quickly he made me feel like the most important person in the world. I love him so much!

Christmas Album Workshop

Here are some pictures of the Christmas Mini Album that we're going to make at the November Workshop. It was so much fun to make! I really hope everyone who is making it likes it as much as I do!

John's Surprise Graduation Party

So I must be pretty good at surprise parties considering this is the second one I pulled off for John this year. The first one being his 30th birthday back in May. He did figure it out when we were in the parking lot of the Polo Club Steakhouse, but that doesn't count. LOL!

Album of John's Graduation

John graduated from the Marion County Sheriff's Department on Friday October 30th. I was trying to take pictures and couldn't get my camera to work. Thankfully right as he walked out, I got it to work! Click on the link below to see the pictures.

Christmas Card Workshop

Christmas Card Workshop

Christmas Card Workshop

I'm very excited about this workshop! I love making christmas cards. And 20 cards for $30 is alot better than Archiver's 4 cards for $15. I don't understand why they charge so much! I do have to say that I love the Copic markers that they're going to use though.

They're markers from Japan that write/color really smoothly and don't tear up paper the way traditional markers do. If you use paper designed for markers, stamp an image and color it in, it looks just like something that was professionally printed. They are pretty pricey, but I will be investing in these sometime in the future. We'll be using a green one to color in the Christmas tree at the workshop though.

Anyway...here are the christmas cards. I know the paper is a little more non-traditional this year. I love feedback, so please tell me what you think!

Here we go!

Okay, so I've never blogged before, but it seems like something that everyone is doing nowadays. And since I can't get on facebook at work, I can at least work on this LOL!
I've seen quite a few scrapbook blogs and it seems the easiest way to share projects and ideas, so I hope you all enjoy it!

It took me a couple of tries to come up with the name, but I'm pretty happy with it. At one point it was Club Scrappy, but after 2 people telling me that it sounded like something for dogs I scrapped that one! Then I've always liked the name I came up with for the monthly club, Scrap-a-lots, but even that didn't sound quite right.

So anyway...I'm going to try and post stuff as often as I can and I would love to share your projects and ideas so anyone who's interested, send something my way!
