I have been away too long!!!!

So I know I've been away for awhile...busy, busy, busy!! I am one step away from finishing Kristina's clock, so excited! I am completing a wedding invitation order for this Friday, super cute!! I have been working on the next workshop (a 2 page layout)...and I started a new project making signs :D As my existing projects start to wind down I plan to re-organize my craftiness and start setting some goals. So stay tuned!! Here's a pic of my first sign....

My Newest Creation

Here is my newest creation! I'm kind of in love with it :)
They are imperfect due to the surfaces of the stone, but I think that adds even more to the overall look.
I'm going to keep playing around with the design, but as of right now these will be available as coasters, wall decor, and desk decorations. The absolutely beautiful model is my youngest son Caleb...

They are available in light or dark stone. What do you think??

My Projects This Past Week

I have been a busy, busy bee!! This past week I have been working on a 24x24 personalized wall clock for a beautiful family (no sneak peeks yet!), finished an invitation party for the amazing Hercamp family, and designed a desert recipe book cover for my churches wonderful women's ministry. Whew! All that on top of taking care of the kiddo's, hubby, dogs, house, and my gorgeous husband celebrated his 32nd birthday!! Life is good & I am so blessed :)

The Imperfect Stone

This was a project that kept me awake creating in my head for a few nights. It would've looked much better if I would've had the right wood working tools, but unfortunately I had to use what was available. The recipient of the gift was however very gracious :) Hopefully someday soon I will be available to extend my tool box!

I wrote the accompanying poem as well...

The Imperfect Stone

When God created the mountains

He did not use the perfect stone

Instead He gathered the flawed ones
From wherever they were strewn

Together they were built up
And set upon the solid ground
A foundation that grew stronger
The tighter they were bound

From these flawed imperfect stones
The mighty mountains rose
Trusting in God’s loving hand
Afraid of no storm that blows

We are those flawed imperfect stones
Gently gathered by God’s hand
Strengthened by the love He gives
Together we will stand

Though the hands of time will change
And storms surround us too
Our family will grow closer
Knowing God will bring us through

Crafty Corners

So I would like to start posting pictures of scrapbook/craft rooms, and calling it "Crafty Corners". I love looking at others rooms and seeing different ideas, the way they organize, re-using items that I might never have thought of, or different projects that they have done.

The debut of Crafty Corners are pic's that were shared from one of my Workshop Ladies.

I visited her room and loved it!

I love the little baskets and containers that were re-used to hold items. The book shelf on the left is her prized possession. Someone close to her made it by hand. The partition in the background covers space that isnt' part of her crafty corner (Love it!). Notice the addition of the little things like an angel statue, lace curtains, and antique box that give her room that extra charm.

Here is her workspace where she stores paper in a cube with shelves, cricut, cartridges,

and ribbon. Office bins on top of the cube create an easy place to store paper also. Again,

notice the touch of detail with the antique clock, violin lamp, and pictures of loved ones.

Your scrapbook/craft room should reflect the things that bring you inspiration

and make you happy.

Here she washed out used gel air freshners and re-used them to hold brads, and small

misc. items. They add the perfect touch of cuteness with the decorative tops,

and the containers allow you to see what you need at a glance.

Here she used large and medium clothespins that were decoupaged with scrapbook

paper. She uses them as memo holders for her desk at work.

This was once a plain brown table that she purchased for 50 cents at a garage sale. She

then refurbished and decoupaged it with scrapbook paper. How cute and cheap is that?

This is another table that was purchase for super cheap. Here's the before....

and here is the after. I love it! She calls this her mail table. I love the antique feel that it has.
