A Different Kind of Favor

I was so excited when Kristina from Stylish Events by Kristina asked me to create things for a baby shower that was themed around a baby girl hatching soon, hence the bird theme. My creativity started flowing and I had the idea to create these birdhouse windchimes as party favors. Kristina was so awesome for trusting my imagination and allowing me to create these for her!

Birdie Baby Shower Invitations

This is a baby shower invitation that I was asked to create by Kristina Neace of Stylish Events by Kristina.

I wrote this little invitation poem for the birdie theme.

Today's project :)

So today I created my newest coaster set...I really like it!

And I tried my hand at painting glass. This is a candle holder and it looks really pretty when it's lit and the room is dim. I had to try it out in my bathroom lol! Red and green are the next colors I'm going to make :) And I think I'm going to add ribbon or something...it just doesn't feel complete to me.

My first hand-crafted earrings :)

So I tried my hand at making earrings, and although it was quite tedious and somewhat difficult, it tapped into my creative side and I loved it! I did not design these as I had to learn the craft, but now that I have the basics I cannot wait to start creating my own designs. I am selling all pairs of these earrings for $5 each. A word from God...

This was written for two people I love who were right in the middle of everything during the collapse at the Indiana State Fair. I prayed for God to send the right words to help heal the pain they are both feeling. Here's what He said...

You are hurting now, I hear your heart, your eyes are afraid to close

You carry a burden deep within, that no one around you knows

You're searching for answers inside your mind, unable to comprehend

The destruction of life that played out, your soul unable to mend

I called you there to be in the moment, your love was needed that day

To comfort and help, to calm the chaos, amidst the disarray

My faithful daughter you serve Me well, always accepting each task

And although I have required much from you, I now have to ask

Release your sorrow, give Me your burdens, as they are mine to bear

Allow Me to heal you, to hold you close, your heart I will repair
